This project was to design an upgrade of the western forecourt as part of a security and amenity upgrade for the heritage listed High Court of Australia (HCA). The main design objectives were to maintain the historic footprint and grid geometry, which formed part of the original HCA design. Existing sight lines between the HCA, National Gallery, and National Portrait Gallery are maintained, as well as physical links with Reconciliation Place and the shores of Lake Burley Griffin.
