SMM were engaged by Greater Sydney Parklands to design and document the M7 to M12 shared path, a key opportunity identified within the strategic Western Sydney Parklands Southern Parklands Framework.
The new M7 to M12 shared user path opened in March 2026, is a 2.3km pedestrian and cycle path connecting Cecil Park and Cecil Hills and adjacent to the southern portion of Western Sydney Parklands. The shared path provides a key active transport link between the M7 and M12 Motorways and provides easy access to the amenities and recreation offerings within Western Sydney Parklands for the local community. The path will also link to future recreation areas around the nearby Liverpool Offtake Reservoir.
The project is a collaboration between Transport for NSW and Greater Sydney Parklands.
