She is a licensed Landscape Architect with nearly a decade of experience working on climate adaptation plans and ecologically-regenerative coastal resilience projects across the US. Her expertise is in visual storytelling and geospatial representation aimed at effectively communicating complex ecological, economic, and social systems to public audiences as part of an engaged design process.
In addition to her role at SMM, Liz is an Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture at Tulane University where her research focuses on reimagining industrial and working landscapes throughout the Gulf Coast region as future sites of cohabitation for both humans and regenerative ecosystems. She has previously taught landscape architecture, urban design, and visual representation courses at the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation and the University of Virginia.
In her free time, Liz can be found rambling around Louisiana’s swamps, bluffs and bayous with her partner and their dog.
