Lamar Advertising’s headquarters in Baton Rouge is a building renovation project with the incorporation of several courtyards, both inside and outside of the building. The front courtyard serves as an everyday employee outdoor break room and also as a special occasion space for employee parties and picnics. The space was designed around four existing Live Oak trees. To give the space privacy, a large berm with a wildflower meadow planting was incorporated into the design. The berm gives definition to the interior of the space, while providing a rich experience to the person traveling along the exterior of the site. Design work for the project also included an interior courtyard/green roof.
